Vacation Time

Could you believe me if I say that I need another vacation after a vacation. I feel so tired and all I want to do is sleep and more sleep. I can't seem to get enough of them. We have been going from one place to another, filling our bottomless pit ( tummy) along the way. From Singapore to Bali, back to Singapore for a day and then it was to our home town Ipoh. Made a day trip to our Aunt in Taiping, ate some durians which I had a craving for since I saw them everywhere in Bali.

Met up with old friends which equals to more eating sessions. Then it was back to Singapore.

So, don't you think I need another vacation to recover from all those travelling ?

Even as I'm typing this someone is doing even more travelling than me.

Look who's in town....

Look who's leaving town in less than twelve hours later.

We gave our Mother a lovely surprise. She opened her eyes in the morning and saw my Sis. She went ....

" Dawn, when did you come back ?"
"We are leaving for Bali, what are you going to do?"

We told her we had arranged for her to go together with us. She promptly gave me a slap on my thigh - Ouch !!! - for keeping it a secret from her. Luckily I'm well padded. :)

We had a awesome time in Bali, except for the boys who much prefer being in doors but I must admit they have been quite sporting. Not much complains and they smile in most of the photos I took. Tried most of the local food too. Bravo, boys !

We visited most of the tourist spots, took lots of pictures mainly of my Sis (I was hiding behind the camera), got my water bottle and slipper snatched away by two different monkeys. We believe those monkeys were trained coz they were super fast, only snatched certain things from the tourists. The locals will throw some fruits to them in return for our belongings and we pay them (the humans) for their help.

After the second attack I was real wary of those little pest ! My slipper still bear the teeth mark of that thief ! What a souvenir. One that I do not want to have again - ever.

Saw a great sunset at the beach. We took lots of pictures here but they hardly do any justice to the beauty we saw. The big red ball will forever be etched in our memories.

Soon it was time for my Sis to leave again back to her icebox. It was all smiles here but later we shed some tears. Wonder when we'll see her again and have another round of a whirlwind vacation.
