Old News !!

This is terrible !!!

I am getting from bad to worst when it comes to updating my blogs. Now it has turn to become one of the most boring blog in the world. Not that it were ever that interesting to begin with.
So read on if you want to find out what I have been up to. In other words - kaypoh.

Be warned. They are OLD news !

Don't if you don't want to.

Frankly, my dear. I don't don't give a damn...

Just rented the DVD 'Gone With The Wind'. Bored the pants off the man and boys in the house. Which makes me super happy as I have the whole room to myself without them making any sickening remarks.

Now to the updates. If I am not wrong the last mark I left here was about me catching the musical CATS. Or was it about the birdies.
Just shows how long it had been since I log on to this site.

Searched through that stagnant grey matter of mine and here is what I can recall.
It was Labour Day - 1st of May I went with my good friend N to catch some catty action.

As usual I went armed with a camera and manage to snap the stage and some cats running wild in the theatre during intermission. The show was great with lots of toe tapping cats, cat fights and a rock star cat too. 'Memory' was beautiful. Sang by a much better looking gal than Susan Boyle. Although I must admit that she sang very well too. It is a pity she did not win in the end.

I take it that you would know who Susan Boyle is unless you have been living under a huge rock.

Told you before I will be rambling about some old news.

Back to the musical - there was a cat that looks like he borrowed a costume from the Power Rangers series. A cat that looks like Hagrid - one of the characters from the Harry Potter series.

I clearly remembered as I sat in my seat I was aghast with myself.
" My mind is working just like my boys ! "
Frightening !

Next I would like to wish everyone a

Happy Dumpling Festival !

I am 3 days late, I know. Better late than never.

I have a dumpling for you to feast your eyes on.
< < <

H said I look like a dumpling in this top. His actual words were - "like a choong".
Not happy I took a picture to see how I look.
I don't see anything wrong with it.
Do you ?
Well, other than I have put on loads of weight.
I have a feeling he said that so that I won't wear it out of the house.

Next - we had our own Night at the Museum experience last night. Ours were much tamer. No mayhem. Instead there were lots of bare skin around.

We went for the open air movie held at the National Museum.

A James Bond movie - You Only Live Twice. Starring Sean Connery.

We had already laid out our rugs, mats, got ourselves comfortable and then came some big fat drops of water. Everyone seek shelter in the museum. It rained for 15 minutes or so. Once it stopped out came the rugs, mats and the movie started with James Bond gunned down in bed.
Finally a picture of my boys in front of the museum's entrance. I think they were trying to look like one of the musuem's display.

Returning Visitors

Recently there have been unexpected visitors to our home. They visit us more often than my Sis.

Two little birdies. The other bird is under the pot of money plant.
They comes in a pair. Actually they have been visiting us for a couple of years already. Just that I can't manage to catch them with my camera. They will fly off as soon as there are any movements in the hall. Such as when I get up from the sofa to get my camera. Or anyone slowly creeping nearer to watch them. Or as I put up the camera. They are real sensitive to any changes in the environment. Bur they won't fly off when the TV is on full blast.
This year I manage to catch them on camera. I was surprised I manage to do it too. My balcony door was open as usual, the TV was on and I was sitting at the sofa. They flew off as soon as I got up to get my camera. I left the camera beside me just in case they return. Which they did. By then I have move closer to the seat nearer the balcony. All these pictures were taken with the zoom lens. Took quite a few but posted only a few here. I wanted to take one of them flying in together but I was not fast enough.

They kept returning to the same money plant. Year after year. Only at certain time of the year. Always pecking at the base of the same pot.

Don't really know what they are looking for. Don't look like they were building a nest. H said they were and we are disturbing them.
Anyway I went to check the plant concern. Nothing out of the ordinary.
They might be after the small fine roots of the plant because there were fine brown roots on the floor just below the pot.
Lastly a closer shot of our friend.

Those birds must have a homing device that they can come back to the same place year after year. How long is a bird's life span ? Do they teach their young to return to the same place too ? I wonder.
Anyone have an idea what type of birds are those ?

Sei Ngan

By the way this is my #3's latest look.

Please excuse the food in his mouth. :)
I had wanted to take a nice picture of him but he has been avoiding the camera until recently.

Yup, now all three of my boys are what the Cantonese will say

'sei ngan chai' - 4 eyes boy.

#3 is not very happy that he is not cute anymore. The first day he return with the glasses he kept asking me do I look like a nerd.
"I am not cute anymore. " :(

His brothers - "Good. Now you can stop acting cute !"

Meow, Meow.....

Tonight I am going to catch the musical CATS at the theatre with my friend N.
Dinner before the show, catching up with each other. Just chilling out with out my family along.
Yeah ! I am really looking forward to it.
