Happy and Grrr.....

I am so sad....

Booo, hoo..... :(

Nooooooo...... one wish me Happy Birthday !

Have I been forgotten by everyone ???

Were everyone waiting for me to reach 50 before they can tease me about my age ? :(

Wait ! Not everyone.

H and the boys greeted me when I opened my eyes yesterday morning. I thought he had forgotten because he had been very busy for many days.

H - "How could I dare to forget my 'loh poh tai yan's' (wife) birthday ?".

Felt good, happy, smiling all day long. In short I was in a very good mood !

H even settle lunch for the boys. Actually he 'tar pau' (packet) lunch. So I don't need to cook at all yesterday. Kitchen was closed the whole day.

Lazed around the whole morning watching TV. But there is one chore that can't be avoided - one big basket of laundry to be ironed ! No one offered to do that though. I had to do them. Multi tasked - watching TV and ironing

Anyway in the afternoon after my favourite drama was over we went to East Coast beach and rented some bikes. It was a beautiful day with no dark clouds - temperature was 34 degrees Celsius!!! by the time we reached the beach the sun was about to set - 5 pm. Even then we were sweating buckets.

Here is the birthday girl with my darling H. Muaks !

We had dinner at a pub along side the beach. It sure felt good to eat out and everyone finished their food with out complains. Guess they were too hungry it was 8pm ++ by then.

My birthday present from H. A set of PJs from Marks & Spencer.

And I got this for myself - an amethyst pendant. :)
It did not cost me an arm or a leg for it. As there was a 50% discount. I have been eyeing it for a while before I empty my wallet. In other words must save for it and wait for the discounts. Took me a couple of months to do it. It is not even my birth stone. I am just drawn to its colour. Plus I can't afford to get my birthday stone. That will really break both my arms and legs. By H. :)

Wait... I have just remembered something. Someone else did greet me this birthday.
Pearly and my cousin J.
Both were greetings in advance.

Thank you to both of them.
Now I am much happier.

Don't you think I am over-reacting... dramatic....

Aiyah... hehehehe....All for the sake of something to blog about.

I know everyone is busy with their own things. I am not really angry lah. :)

Have a lovely weekend.

CCK Cemetery

Last Sunday morning we went to the Chua Chu Kang cemetery to pay our respect to H's father. I know it is way past the actual tomb sweeping festival but we wanted to avoid the traffic. Be it human or cars/ buses. And all the smoke too from the numerous burning of papers and joss sticks.

His tomb stone is located up a hill. Once, long ago it faces a pond. The pond has since been filled and it is now a forested area. This might also be the last time we visit him here

You see, recently the newspapers had reported that those whose family members were buried during 1968 - 1978. National Environment Agency ( nea ) will be carrying out exhumation of graves.
H and his siblings thought that their father's grave will not be included. My father-in-law had past away in 1980. But we soon found out it is not so.
Makes me wonder why is he buried in that plot since it is clearly marked 1968 - 1978. Must be the land saving thingy. Fill up any empty plots of land before opening a new plot.

Read below. I took it from the NEA's website.

" Due to land scarcity, the government announced the New Burial Policy to limit the burial period to 15 years in 1998. Henceforth, NEA carries out exhumation programmes in phases at the Choa Chua Kang Cemetery, the only cemetery in Singapore available for burials. The exhumed remains may be cremated and put into a columbarium or be re-buried, according to one's religious requirements. "

H and his siblings have decided to place their father's remains together with their mother in an association in Geylang.
H wanted to double check with NEA before he settle the payment for his father's new house. He had emailed a couple of times, made numerous calls but no reply at all.

I told him maybe it is man by ghosts. Try making a call in the night ! :)

In the end he made a call to the 1800.... to lodge a complain. They informed him that they have trouble contacting them too. After that complain still no reply. H continued calling them. Roughly about 2 weeks since he first try to contact them someone called him back and confirmed everything.
One of the lions guarding his tomb stone.
Since we might not visit here again took a couple of pictures for remembrance. Just that the sun was in the way. All the pictures came out too bright !

Anyway H made the payment for his parents new house. They will be placed together. My MIL's remains are already at that association. In order to put them together my MIL must make a move too - to a new site. The cost for moving her house is $100. $300 for membership (to get a discount) and the new house for my FIL is $2050. A total of $2450. The cost will be split among the siblings.

That is the prize for RIP .

I think it should stand for - Really In Peace.

The lady who did the paperwork for H told him not to worry as they are sitting/located on a freehold land and it belongs to them.

Well, that is reassuring to hear. Until the Government decide that they have some use for that area and wants them to move.

Heavy Petting Going On

This was what I had been doing the last week or so. Petting, searching, hunting for Easter eggs in one of the Facebook application - Fluff Friends. After a week or so of clicking away on the mouse and countless of hours burnt I am now in possession of all the rare eggs, rotten eggs, empty plastic eggs, candy coloured grass up to my eye balls ! Mind you it was a large amount the last I counted. Those plastic eggs are not Eco friendly at all. Someone must inform the fellas that create those eggs. Even though it was only in the virtual world.

And 2 super rare sparkly eggs. It was because the Easter Bunny had been very STINGY with those super rare eggs that got all of us in the fluff world (those of us who were crazy enough) up the whole night searching for it. It was down right crazy. Madness. I know it. They know it but we were all hooked.
After 11 days of searching (3rd-13th April) managed to achieve 526 points and only 2 of those eggs could be found. The grand prize can only be obtained with 800 points, together with four of those sparkly eggs and the rest of the rare, plastic eggs and grass.
There were some who had 800 points with no luck with those elusive eggs. In the end I semi-gave up and found them. Some fluffers even borrowed those rare eggs to obtained their prize.

Crazy right ? That application was so heavily used that it kept showing the 'Error' message especially the first few days. But we persisted. Just not satisfied until we obtained all of them.

You might think it is a waste of time. But I know of others who are hooked on other FB applications too. In the fluff world we pet to earn munny($$). With the munny buy food, feed the fluffs. Race them. Buy new habitats, decorations. Use those to decorate or create an art work, like what I had done. To express ourselves or a master piece like what the others had done. The things that can be created with those simple decos are just wonderful. One don't need a steady hand. Just a creative mind.

The only thing the pets here can't do is move. Not like those pets in Pet Society, another FB application.
I have two of those applications. Introduced to me by my Sis but I tend to use the former more. I find the later application kind of...lame...That was how my #1 described it.
If you ever see Itsy (my pet in Pet society) petting, fighting, dancing, watching TV or wandering around it is most likely my #3 playing with it.
He refuse to click on the kissing button because he said it is like 'gay'. (eyes rolling )

#2 likes it too. But then he likes any games he can get his hands on. When his game time on the computer is over he will asked, " Can I use my FB ? ". Which means he will be racing in Pet Society.

So, now you know what I had been up to. Now that all those are over it took me a few days to recuperate. My wrist was going to 'patah' - near breaking point. :) I don't think I was the only one. Catch up with my house work. Ya, I had neglected that area when I was in the hunt. And leave a mark here.

So that in maybe 10 years time, I would be aghast at my own actions.

Maybe.........

Missing Home

It has been 3 days. #2 is home where as #1 will be home tomorrow evening. They went to 2 different camps.

#2 came home all tired out. Complained that the food there was yucky, MISS my cooking. (Secretly smiling away)
That is not the only thing he misses. His bed, the sofas and his brothers.

And the next thing I know he and #3 were arguing away. (Eyes rolling)

#1 called us up yesterday evening, just right after we had finished our dinner.

He asked " You guys just finish dinner, right ?"

"What are the 2 other brother's doing ?"

"It is so so noisy here. Every second there is plane flying past. We can't sleep at all."

"Do you know we have to kayak from Changi beach to the East Coast beach ! So tiring !"

He is camping at the Changi Coast Adventure Camp. Guess the camp is situated near the airport.
Poor boy, evening time is the busiest at the airport. :0

When he returns tomorrow I'm sure he will be tired, hungry and grumpy.

And I will have a whole lot of washing to do. :(
